NICHOLAS SEVERINI

HEAD COACH
    Nico Severini is the 10th soccer coach in the long and storied history of
LMHS soccer.  He led the 2010 Aces to a championship run, winning the 2010
District 1 AAA Championship while compiling one of the best records in school
history with a record of 19 wins, 2 losses, 3 ties, along with a national ranking
by ESPN and the NSCAA. Nico is currently a Spanish teacher at Lower Merion
as well as a 12th grade advisor.  Besides coaching LM, he is also a coach for
the EPYSA State ODP program; the U17 LMSC girls' Charge (2010 PA State
Challenge Cup Champion); the LMSC U8 girls Academy, and is an Assistant
Director for World Class Soccer School. Nico attended the University of
Pennsylvania and won an Ivy League title in 2002.  Along with his 4 years
playing at Penn, Severini has trained and played overseas at Club
Independiente (Argentina), Club Liniers (Argentina), and Club Sevilla (Spain).  
To culminate his high school career Severini  was named Central League
player  of the year in his senior year.  He was also Pennsylvania All-State (2x),
and Regional All-American (2x).  Nico played his club soccer for the FC Delco
Black. Nico holds a USSF National License. He previously coached the
Plymouth Whitemarsh High Shool Boys' Varsity team
PAT CRONIN

FRESHMAN COACH
Coach Cronin returns to  a new postion as the head freshman coach.  This will
be coach Cronins' 4th year in the soccer program. Pat has been playing soccer
since he was 7 years old and began coaching in 2001. He has coached at
Easton Area High School and Chichester High School before coming to Lower
Merion. He went to Whitehall High school and then attended De Sales University
where he earned the Scholar-Athlete award. Pat is recently married and a
father of 2.
ZACH ALLEN

ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH
Zach Allen is entering his second season on the Lower Merion coaching staff as
a volunteer/assistant coach.  His playing experience is three varsity years at
Haverford High School and went on to play club soccer at University of
Pittsburgh.  Once completing college he returned to his hometown of
Havertown.  He spent the last two seasons as the assistant coach at Plymouth
Whitemarsh High School under coach Nicholas Severini. He is currently student
teaching in the Springfield school district.
DENNIS HAGAN

JUNIOR VARSITY HEAD COACH

The new JV Coach Dennis Hagan is looking to bring his playing and coaching
experience, and training to LM. Dennis Has played soccer since 4 years old and
attended Haverford High School where he played with head coach Nick
Severini. Dennis graduated from Haverford In 2002 with the most varsity letters
in school history and went on to play track and soccer for Widener University.
After graduating from Widener Dennis has been coaching at Friends' Central
and Drexel University Club soccer as an assistant coach. He currently works as
a substitute teacher at The Baldwin School.   
JORGE SEVERINI

ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH
JORGE SEVERINI comes aboard as a 1st year assistant coach and a welcome
addition to the LM coaching staff.  He was born in Argentina and was a
professional player there with Club Liniers and Estudiantes de la Plata before
coming to the States and playing for the Philadelphia Atoms, the Philadelphia
Spartans, the Ukrainian Nationals, and the Delaware Wings.  Jorge is a
long-time soccer coach in the Southeast Pennsylvania area and has worked at
all levels including college, high school, men's semi-pro and youth teams. He
has been a Staff Coach for the EPYSA State ODP teams for over 30 years.
Jorge is the Founder and Director of World Class Soccer School and has been
running soccer camps and clinics for 22 years. He holds a USSF National
License along with an Argentine Coaching Diploma
