| Lemonick Commits to U.S. Naval Academy |
Senior Michael Lemonick is the first Lower Merion soccer player to commit to a college or university. Michael
has chosen and has been accepted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland.
Michael will begin his time at Annapolis next summer when he will enter the Academy as a "Plebe" and will begin
training in what is called "Plebe Summer". He will then be one of the Midshipmen of the class of 2014. Upon
graduation he will receive a commission as an officer into the United States Navy as an Ensign, or if he
chooses, he may be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He will be leading
young men and women of our countries Armed Forces.
Michael has shown that he can take this challenge by succeeding in his academics as well as athletics at Lower
Merion. The high level of education and play at Annapolis will suit Michael well and we all look forward to his
continued success.
