| On Tuesday Jan 12th, a group of boys and girls from the Lower Merion Soccer program went to the Philadelphia Convention Center to help the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) get ready for their annual convention being held this year in Philadelphia Jan 13th- 17th. The teams packed bags for giveaways to coaches and for players to be named to the All- American teams. They packed thousands of bags, and according to NSCAA staff, broke the record time for filling all the bags, which consisted of numerous handouts that had to be pre-sorted and then put in bags. Both the girls and boys helped the NSCAA immensely and their help was very much appreciated. All soccer players are encouraged to go to the convention, it is in town until Saturday Jan 17th. Look for LM's own Rob Robinson, former head coach of LM boys varsity soccer team, who is a bug part of the association and in the Hall of Fame. |
